Home VLAN segmentation remains a future security option. It affects DHCP, Pi-hole, routing, firewall rules, and device discovery.

Work

Inventory devices and discovery protocols.
Define trust zones and required flows.
Measure router and access-point support.
Design staged migration and rollback.
Decide whether the benefit justifies the work.

Validation

The decision is recorded with evidence.
If approved, the design covers DHCP, DNS, routing, discovery, firewalling, and rollback.
